The Four Wheels of Life

When one wheel of a car is out of balance all four will wear unevenly and can't operate at optimum level.

The four wheels of life are: the mental, physical, emotional and spiritual.  Attention must be paid to all four areas in order to be successful along life's journey.

"Just as your car runs more smoothly and requires less energy to go faster and farther when the wheels are in perfect alignment, you perform better when your thoughts, feelings, emotions, goals and values are in balance."

 -Brian Tracy

"Schools must become concerned and caring places full of teachers who understand that teaching students to love themselves, to feel positive about their natural curiosity and in control of their own lives ought to be given at least as much attention as geometry and grammar."

-Dr. Wayne W Dyer

Sheila is a retired teacher who has taught adolescents for over 35 years. She has always enjoyed the interaction with her students, and has gained much experience and many insights from them, as they have been her greatest teachers. They have taught her how to be more patient, accepting, loving, generous, fair and compassionate. Before Sheila retired she was aware of a significant increase of students in her classes who had learning disabilities, had a negative or laissez-faire attitude toward learning, had difficulty focusing, and getting assignments in on time.

Thanks to www.orleandsdodge.com for allowing us to photograph the viper in their showroom!

She asked other experienced teachers if the same applied in their classes. They concurred and added that they were very concerned as well. Their students’ work ethic and accountability were diminishing year after year.

Sheila truly believes the reasons for this is due to the ever-escalating challenges as well as negative culture pressures the present-day teen is experiencing. Now more than ever they need to be taught valuable life skills, strategies, as well as effective ways of coping with these challenges. Teaching them how to nurture their uniqueness, develop their gifts and talent, and connect with their core values in order that they be successful along the journey is paramount.

After much thought and soul searching the concept of Teen Balance came to fruition.

Her experience has taught her every teen is unique with special gifts and abilities.

This company is dedicated to helping teens recognize, use and enhance those special gifts and abilities. OUR AIM IS TO… Encourage, inspire, inform, motivate, instil enthusiasm, which is that spark of energy and sense of interest, and inspiration that ignites effort, good ideas, intention, creativity, and hard work.

For quite some time now, Sheila has spent much of her free time designing programs on the importance of balance, the power of positive thinking and feeling, how to have good self-esteem, as well as valuable life skills, coping strategies, and many other topics. She has successfully implemented these programs in a variety of classes. Sheila truly believes it is her purpose to empower teens as well as pre-teens to be the best they can be.
